ROV hangar doors
ROV hangar door are shell doors used to open the ROV hangar on naval vessels, research and offshore support vessels.
They are available in a wide variety of structural and functional configurations to meet specific customer’s applications; the size of the ROV Hangar Door can be entirely manufactured tailor made to customer requirements.
They can be single opening or double opening with a custom designed shape based on the ROV LARS (Launch & Recovery System).
In the closed position, they are recessed into the vessel flush and aligned with the surrounding shell plate.
The rotational movement can be obtained by means of double-acting hydraulic cylinder or electrical actuators.
Hydraulic doors are powered by HPP - hydraulic power pack that can be supplied by SeaNet if requested; electric doors are powered by ship electrical power line.
Door signals are sent to wheelhouse with dry contacts and can be interlocked with ROV LARS.
Each side door is supplied with a Local Maneuver Cabinet, fitted with all the necessary controls for door opening/closing, wedge locking/unlocking and HPP start/stop.
